Recently Chauncey was working on:
1. Determining a lower level of radiation for which there is no health impacts and above which there are health effects
2. Risk Assessment methodology and tools developments applied to making decisions on nuclear power plants and other electric utility financial investments
3. The hybrid grid composed of alternating current and direct current systems wherein energy storage plants are a major portion of the electric grid.
4. The Super-Grid: design and engineering developments of direct current superconductors (cooled by hydrogen at cryogenic temperatures) are the superconductors are used to transport large amounts of electric energy throughout the country.
